Liturgy of St. John Chrysostom

Troparion of the resurrection (Tone 5)

Let us, O faithful, praise and worship the word, coeternal with the Father and the Spirit, born of the Virgin for our Salvation, for He was pleased to be lifted in the flesh upon the cross, and to endure death, and to raise the dead by His glorious resurrection.

 

نشيد القيامة باللحن الخامس                                                      

لننشد نحن المؤمنين ونسجدْ للكلمة، الأزلي مع الآبِ والروح، المولود من العذراء لخلاصنا. لأنه ارتضى أن يصعدَ بالجسدِ على الصليب، ويحتمل الموت، وينهض َ الموتى بقيامته المجيدة.

 

Troparion of the Preparation, (Tone 4)

Make ready Zebulon and prepare Naphtali and you Jordan River, stop your flow and receive with a thrill of joy the Master coming to be baptized. Adam, rejoice with the first Mother, Eve, and hide not as you did of old in paradise: for Christ at the sight of your nakedness has come forth to clothe you with the robe of innocence.  Indeed, Christ has come forth to renew the whole creation.

استعدي يَا زَبُولُونْ، وَتَأَهَّبِي يَا نَفْثَالِيمَ. وَأَنْتَ يَا نَهْرَ الأُرْدُنِّ، قِفْ وَاسْتَقْبِلْ بِطَرَبٍ السَيِّدَ الآتِيَ لِيَعْتَمِدْ. إِجْذَلْ يَا آدَمُ مَعَ الأُمِّ الأُولَى، وَلاَ تَخْتَبِئَا كَمَا فِي الفِرْدَوْسِ قَدِيماً. فَإِنَّهُ لَمَّا رَآكُمَا عَارِيَيْن. ظَهَرَ لِيُلْبِسَكُمَا الحُلّةَ الأُولَى. لَقَدْ ظَهَرَ المَسِيحُ. مُرِيداً أَنْ يُجَدِّدَ الخَلِيقَةَ كُلَّهَا.

 

Troparion of the Disciples (Tone 3)

O holy disciples, intercede with the Merciful God that he may grant our souls the forgiveness of sins.

 

النشيد للتقدمة وللرسل باللحن الثالث

أيها الرسلُ القديسون إشفعُوا إلى الله الرحيم، ان يهبُ غفران الزلاتِ لنفوسنا

 

Troparion of St Barbara: Let us praise the most venerable Barbara, who pierced the enemy's net and, like a trapped ostrich, escaped from it through the strength-giving weapon of the cross.

 

نشيد القديسة بربارة باللحن السابع

لنُكرِّمنَّ القديسةَ بربارة، فقد كسرت هذه الجزيلة الوقار فخاخ العدو، ونجت منها كالعصفور بمعونة الصليب وسلاحه 

 

Kondakion of the Preparation (Tone 4)

Today the Lord Christ has appeared in the Jordan's waters, and He has cried out to John: Fear not of baptizing me, for by my own will I have indeed come to save Adam, the first created man.

 

قنداق الختام للتقدمة باللحن الرابع

اليومَ وقفَ الربُّ في مجاري الاردنّ، وهتفَ بيوحنَّا: لا تَخَفْ أَن تُعَمِّدَني. فاني اتيتُ لأُخَلِصَ آدَم أَولَ مَنْ جُبِل.

الاحد، 4 كانون الثاني 2026 الاحد الذي قبل عيد الظهور

Epistle: 2 Timothy 4; 5-8 - Sunday before Theophany

PROKIMENON: (Tone 6) O Lord, save your people and bless your inheritance.

Stichon: To you, O Lord, I have called: O my Rock, be not deaf to me!

READING from the Second Epistle of St. Paul to Timothy

My son Timothy be watchful in all things, bear with tribulation patiently, work as a preacher of the Good News, fulfill your ministry. As for me, I am already being poured out in sacrifice, and the time of my deliverance is at hand. I have fought the good fight, I have completed the course, I have kept the faith. For the rest, there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the just Judge, will give to me on that day: yet not to me only, but also to those who love his coming.

May God have mercy on us and bless us.

رسالة الاحد الذي قبل عيد الظهور

مقدمة الرسالة

خلِّص يا ربُّ شعبَك، وبارك ميراثَك

اليكَ يا ربُّ اصرخُ، ألهى لا تتصامم عنّى

الرسالة (2 تيموثاوس 4: 5-8)

يا ولدي تيموثاوس، تيقَّظ في كلِّ شيء، احتمل المشقَّات، اعمل عملَ المُبَشِر، أَوفِ خدمتَك. لأني الآنَ أُراقُ سكيباً، ووقتُ انحلالي قد حضر. قد جاهدتُ الجهاد الحسن، أَتممتُ سعيي، حفظتُ الايمان. انما يبقى اكليلُ البِرِّ المحفوظُ لي الذي سيَجزيني به في ذلكَ اليومِ الربُّ الديَّانُ العادل، لا ايَّايَ فقط بل جميعَ الذين يُحبونَ ظهورَه أيضاً.

هللويا

ليرأفِ اللهُ بنا ويُباركنا

ليضيء بوجههِ علينا ويرحمْنا

 

Gospel: Mark 1: 1-8 - Sunday before Theophany, (Make ready the way of the Lord)

The beginning of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. As it is written in the prophets, “Behold, I send my messenger before thee, who shall prepare thy way, the voice of one crying in the desert, ‘Make ready the way of the Lord, make straight his paths’, there came John in the desert, baptizing and preaching a baptism of repentance for the forgiveness of sins. And all the country of Judea went out to him, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and they were baptized by him in the river Jordan, confessing their sins. And John was clothed in camel’s hair, with a leather girdle about his loins, and he ate locusts and wild honey. And he preached, saying, “One mightier than I is coming after me, the strap of whose sandals I am not worthy to stoop down and loose. I have baptized you with water, but he will baptize you with the Holy Spirit.”

 

الانجيل للأحد الذي قبل عيد الظهور

الانجيل (مرقس 1: 1-8)

بدءُ انجيلِ يسوع المسيحِ ابنِ الله، كما هو مكتوبٌ في الأنبياء: هاءنذا أُرسلُ ملاكي امامَ وجهكَ يُهيئُ طريقَكَ قدَّامك. صوتُ صارخٍ في البرية: أَعدّوا طريقَ الربّ، واجعلوا سُبلَهُ قويمة. كانَ يوحنا يُعمّدُ في البريّةِ ويكرزُ بمعموديةِ التوبةِ لغفرانِ الخطايا. وكان يخرجُ اليهِ كلُّ اهلِ بلاد اليهودية وجميعُ سكَّانِ اورشليم، فيعتمدونَ منه جميعُهم في نهرِ الاردنّ معترفينَ بخطاياهم. وكان لِباسُ يوحنا من وَبَرِ الإِبلِ، وعلى حقَوَيْهِ منطقةٌ من جِلد، وكان طعامُه الجرادَ وعسكَ البَرّ، وكان يكرزُ قائلاً: انه يأتي بعدي مَنْ هوَ اقوى مني، وانا لستُ باهلٍ ان انحنيَ وأَحلَّ سَيْرَ حِذائِه. انا عمَّدتُكم بالماء، واما هو فسيُعمِّدُكم بالروحِ القدس.
